Thursday, Jan. 3 – Jamar Butler netted a career-best 32 points to lift men’s basketball to 74-58 Win at Illinois in its Big Ten Opener Recap

Friday, Jan. 4 – With a 27-6 win at Kent State, the No. 12 wrestling team won its sixth-consecutive match of the season and improved to 9-1. Recap

Saturday, Jan. 5 – Tessa Bonhomme tied a single-game record with five points in the women’s hockey win over North Dakota, 7-3. Recap

Sunday, Jan. 6 – Both basketball teams gained wins. The men topped Northwestern, 62-51, behind double-doubles from Jamar Butler and Kosta Koufos. The women scored a 73-65 victory at Iowa with Ashlee Trebilcock leading the way with 25 points.

My Prediction for the BCS Championship Game

Check out my pre-game analysis in a piece I did for the Cleveland Plain Dealer.

This Ohio State team is much better than most people at ESPN realize.

The bottom line: OSU 45 LSU 28.
