Monday, Dec. 3 – Joseph Palmer, a goalie for men’s hockey, was named to the 2008 U.S. National Junior Team and will compete in the International Federation World Junior Championship Dec. 26-Jan. 5 in the Czech Republic. (Release)

Tuesday, Dec. 4 – Junior divers Chelsea Davis and Wes Wieser were named Big Ten Divers of the Week for their efforts in helping the Buckeyes take second in their own invitational last week. (Davis Release, Wieser Release)

Thursday, Dec. 6– Men’s cross country head coach Robert Gary was named Ohio Collegiate Cross Country Coach of the Year and John Ealy was honored as the state’s top male runner. (Release)

Friday, Dec. 7 – Football’s James Laurinaitis was a repeat first-team Walter Camp All-American and won the Butkus AWard. Vernon Gholston and Malcolm Jenkins both were second-team Camp selections. (Release)

Saturday, Dec. 8 – Football’s James Laurinaitis and Cameron Heyward were named to Sporting News All-American Teams. Laurinaitis was a first-team honoree and Heyward was recognized on the freshman squad. (Release)

Sunday, Dec. 9 – Men’s soccer exploded for four second-half goals and advanced to its first NCAA College Cup with a 4-0 victory over Bradley at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium. Xavier Balc led the way with a pair of scoring strikes. (Recap)
